The local economy is largely land based, supplemented by tourism and recreation. The settlement of Bellabeg presents a number of development opportunities to consolidate new proposals in support of the community. ] [ Dinnet Dinnet commands an important location at one of the key entrances to the National Park. The local economy is largely land based, but there are opportunities to enhance tourism and recreation facilities, and consolidate the settlement, providing additional housing to secure a sustainable community. ] [ Insh The settlement of Insh is surrounded by important nature conservation sites, and is on the route to the popular RSPB and national nature reserve at Insh Marches. There has been considerable growth in recent years, and any new development should consolidate the existing settlement area. Any growth must also take into account the capacity of infrastructure serving the settlement and wider area. ] [ Inverdruie The western end of the Glenmore corridor faces considerable pressure for new development, and there are a number of opportunities within Inverdruie to consolidate the existing settlement to support the sustainability of the community. Development in this settlement is particularly sensitive because of its landscape setting and gateway role. ] Page 94 Map - Bellabeg Map - Dinnet Map - Insh Map - Inverdruie (Images not available in full text format)
